has decided to award the 2016 Crafoord Prize in Astronomy to
Roy Kerr
ICRANet and University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand,
and Roger Blandford, Stanford University, CA, USA
"for fundamental work concerning rotating black holes and their astrophysical consequences"
